Mohawk Rugs Review and Giveaway

I truly enjoy home decorating. I like to make small changes and add little touches here and there to brighten a room or make it look different. But I often have a very hard time finding what I'm looking for and pulling off the look on a budget. One thing that can truly make or break a room is a rug.

Mohawk Home offers a wide variety of rugs through several retailers. What is so great about these rugs is that they are offered in several sizes, many colors and styles, and at great prices.

I was recently given the opportunity to browse their wide selection and choose a rug to check out for myself. I knew just the room I wanted a new rug for, but I wasn't totally sure about what style I was looking for. I currently had a very plain rug, which worked but didn't make much of a statement. So I knew I wanted a touch of bold color to make the rug stand out. Of course Mohawk had what I was looking for!

This is my living room in the before picture. The carpet is just a little too plain and matches my couch too closely. There was no pop of color or anything bold. So I decided to give the Mohawk Select Loft Prism Mink Lichen Shag Rug a try. I found it through Walmart and a 5x8 rug retailed for only $139.

This is how the room looked with the new rug in! I am really pleased with how it made a big difference with such a small change. At first I was a little concerned since it said it was a shag rug. I didn't want to have a 60's feel! But it doesn't at all. The rug doesn't look shaggy but feels very soft under your feet.
