I took the Cascade Complete Pac Challenge!

Cascade recently earned a Best New Product Award from Better Homes and Gardens. So when I was contacted about taking part in putting their product to the test I knew I wanted to take the challenge.

Here's how it worked. I recieved a package that included a recipe, cooking dish and bag of Cascade Complete Pacs.  The recipe was for Potatoes au Gratin et Moutarde by Alex McCord. It was quick and easy to make... but boy did it make a mess....

Doesn't that look yummy? It was! But this is what the dish looked like after we ate all the potatoes...

I don't think the picture even really does it justice. This crust was really stuck on their... ick! Normally I would wash a dish like this by hand. Especially since we have an old dishwasher that does great one day and not so great the next. So I hesitantly put the dish in the dishwasher with a Cascade pac... these pacs combine the powder and gel into one pac... so they are pretty powerful. And this is what I got...

Yeah, I won't be washing my dishes by hand anymore.

Where have I been?

I apologize for not really being around this week. I had some reviews and giveaways scheduled for posting, but I was not visiting other blogs or being very active. I was actually taking a 3 day training class to become a SMARTboard certified trainer. What is that? Well, SMARTboards are interactive white boards that are becoming very popular in the school systems. They are relatively simple to use, but unfortunately many teachers aren't receiving the proper training to use them to their full potential. So I took this training course so that I could train other teachers to use all the awesome features!

The class was great. It was very informative and left me feeling like I was on information overload. I definitely got a lot out of it. But it was in the city, so it required me to commute 3 hours each day. Wow, that made me tired. So I didn't do much blogging when I got home. I mostly snuggled the baby and went to bed early! But I am back now and I am really looking forward to a regular week.

Am I certified? No. I have to wait about a week and then take an online test. Yikes... I hate tests! Hopefully I pass and then I will be certified. :)

ProFlowers Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review a basket from ProFlowers. Proflowers offers a huge selection of items that are perfect for sending someone for any occasion. They have everything from flowers to chocolate to spa baskets and more. Their website is easy to navigate and lists items according to occasion, as well as product type, to help make your shopping easier.

I was fortunate enough to review the Ghirardelli Chocolate Basket. This basket came packed with delicious chocolate. They way they present the items in the baskets makes it almost too pretty to undo. But when it comes to chocolate nothing will stop me! They included a variety of items from Ghirardelli including a variety of chocolates and hot chocolate. They also included a nice size mug that added to the presentation.

I was very pleased with my basket from ProFlowers as it arrived quickly and in great condition. I encourage you to take a look at their selection of items!

Flowerz in Her Hair Review and Giveaway!

Flowerz in Her Hair is a fantastic online shop that can really fulfill all your hair accessory needs. They offer everything from headbands and beanies to flowers and clips. They even have gorgeous halos and veils for flower girls and First Communions. They offer items for a range of ages, and even have a newborn section!

Flowerz in Her Hair was generous enough to send me several items for review. These items included a beanie, headband and two clips (one with a flower and one made of tulle).

One of the things that I really love about this selection is the versatility. Each clip can be attached to any headband or beanie. They can also be worn as a just a clip with a nonslip feature to keep it in even fine hair. The products are made with great care and attention and presented on a card...very professional!

Hair accessories are great because they are things that your daughter won't quickly grow out of. You can use them over and over, so it's good to have a variety of styles and colors.
