An Uncomfortable Guest Room

Do you have a guest room? We have one in our house and it's used every week by my mother-in-law when she watched my daughter the two days a week that I work. Pretty sweet deal, huh? Well, our guest room was kind of thrown together with odds and ends from my old room growing up. When I was a teenager I got a double bed and it was A-Mazing. Going from a twin to a double was like a dream. But have you ever gone from a queen back to a double? Yikes! I can't do it... it's too small! Am I getting bigger or is the bed getting smaller?

So I have these big plans to make my guest room more welcoming. The first step.. to get a bigger bed that is also more than a foot off the ground. Yeah, this bed is low. So where would I turn? Now, I want to make the room comfortable... but not too comfortable. Ever had a guest who just wouldn't leave? Haha, I want to avoid that! So I'm tossing around just getting a more comfortable bed vs getting a whole bedroom set. I figure if there's no where to put their clothes they can't stay too long, right?

This bed might be a good combo. It has storage drawers built into the bed!
