This whole diet thing is really becoming frustrating. But I have no one to be frustrated with but myself. Two weeks ago I really but a kink in my plan. I gained over two points in one short week. Did you ever notice how easy it is to put it on and how incredibly hard it is to take it off?
Last week I did weigh in but never got the chance to do my post. Life has just been crazy. There's nothing really "going on." My kitchen is done, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. It's just the every day stuff that is draining me. But last week I had stayed exactly where I was. I maintained to the ounce.
This week I have been trying to be much more conscious of what I'm eating. But that's just it, I am aware that what I'm eating is bad! When I started this journey I basically stocked the house with healthy food and eliminated the junk. Since then the junk has come back in. A major downfall this week.... Girl Scout Cookies. I can't resist them! Ugh!
So in short, I haven't been exercising much and my eating has barely improved. And here I sit with a third week at the EXACT SAME WEIGHT! How is that even possible? In the words of my husband, "you haven't been exercising and you're not eating much better, so I would view this as a tiny victory." I guess he's right. At least I'm not gaining.
I need spring! I need to get outside with my little girl and go for walks and run around. I need to work harder.

I am a random drop in, and just read this post and had to say, if you need help to kick start your diet try taking out one or two ingredients from your everyday diet. For example, if you take out carbs, you can still eat everything and anything you want, but you just have a burger on lettuce instead of a bun. When you go out for pasta, have meatballs in sauce but no noodles. It can help, without you having to lose flavor and being deprived of the good stuff. Girl Scout cookies are evil. I think I was accosted by 7 little girls in one day with boxes of the stuff!
Good luck to you!
OMG Lara! I am right there with you! I have no idea what the deal is! I know I need to work out but I just can't find time to work it into my schedule. I know that's a cop out but at the same time it's true!!! I actually took a small walk with my neighbor yesterday and i figure every little bit helps! Best of luck for next week! We'll get there!
no worries girl, the same weight it better than gaining so I say it's a success. I've been eating really crappy lately too
This is the story of my life. I'm on week 3 and haven't weighed myself since the end of week 1 for fear of what I would. This time around I'm making sure to have protein everytime I have a carb so my sugars don't get out of whack - I'll keep you posted :)
Thank you all for your words of support and advice! This is ridiculously hard. Have I mentioned that I love food? And mostly the bad kind!
Your doing fine , since your not gaining. My friend is walking each morning around the block and I occasionally join her. You can try that with your little one and make it a fun morning. Hope that helps and remember your doing great.
Yea for no gain! :) Thats great. Weight loss is soo hard especially with Girl Scout Cookies! ;) I love them and its not real easy to resist. Your still doing great! If I ate girl scout cookies I would have definitely gained 5 pounds! lol Keep your head up! We're always here for support! Sorry just making my rounds .. been a hectic spring break!
