Daddy & Company Health and Skin Care - Review and Giveaway

Daddy’s Health & Skin Care by Daddy & Company is the first brand to offer health and skin care products specifically for dads (although moms love the products, too!).  Developed by pharmacist and daddy of seven, each product is carefully formulated to be eco-friendly, free of harmful chemicals, and most importantly, safe for you and your children.

Pharmacist Recommended Daddy Approved
Products available:  Baby Lotion, Baby Bubble Bath, Baby Shampoo & Body Wash,
Organic Baby Powder, Bug Spray

My Thoughts:
I was recently given the wonderful opportunity to check out some of the fabulous new products in the Daddy's Health and Skin Care by Daddy & Company. My family received the Baby Shampoo and Body Wash, Baby Lotion, and Baby Bubble Bath all in the Calming Lavender scent (unscented is also available).

We have been lucky enough to try out several products from Daddy & Company, so we had some high expectations. They always have quality products at prices families can afford. And honestly, they make my husband smile. So often baby products are geared towards moms, and he happily uses them. But having an amazing hands-n daddy in the house makes me so proud to use Daddy & Company products because Daddy's are awesome! And, of course, I use them too :)

Daddy tackled bath time with the babes and put these new items to the test.

He said they smelled good and then made me smell them because he admitted that
fragrance evaluation wasn't his strong point. I thought it smelled subtle and relaxing.

He said that the Baby Shampoo & Body Wash lathered nicely and went on soft and smooth.
The Bubble Bath was.... bubbly!
And the baby lotion was creamy, not greasy.

Daddy and babies all loved them! And so did Mom!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse App Review

My kids love to play on the iPad. It has been a life saver on long car trips and waits at the doctor's office. So we are always on the lookout for great new apps to keep them entertained. Disney apps tend to be our go-to's because the characters are all familiar and both my son and daughter love them. They are also always well done and have lots to do in each app. Between the music, activities, and fun characters you really can't go wrong. Add to it that Disney is always encouraging creativity, imagination, and learning in their apps and it's a win-win!

We recently got to try out a new app, Squish: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse:

“Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse” invites kids to stretch, push, and pull clay to make Mickey or Minnie, or start from scratch with dozens of fun clay shapes from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse universe. Once finished, you can twist, inflate, and melt your creation using fun and unique Squishers.

Additional features include:

• 3D clay molds of Mickey and Minnie with easy-to-use sculpting tools
• Character molds and shapes that help little ones make their favorite characters from the show
• Unique Squishers: the “Twisterator,” the “Melter,” and the “Inflaterator”
• Kids can save their clay creations to the Gallery to show-off to their family and friends

The app is available now for iOS devices on Apple’s App Store.

My daughter has been having a blast creating all kinds of fun shapes. She's been twisting, pulling, squishing, melting, and even exploding her creative projects. I love how the app leaves so much room for creativity. She usually squishes and changes Mickey, but she is getting even more creative and starting with regular shapes and coming up with her very own ideas and designs. I think it's a super app for kids... and adults hehe, I have done a few sculptures myself!. Check it out in the app store.

FuzzyHeads Review

FuzzyHeads are an exciting new stuffed toy that are cute, cuddly, and functional. Not to mention they star in their very own book! I was introduced to FuzzyHeads last week and am very excited to be able to share them with you. There are three different sizes available; the Lil' Fuzzys are 9", Fuzzys are 16", and the Big Fuzzys are 24".

Fuzzys are pretty awesome because they come in a variety of colors and sizes. Each one has a name and an individual personality. They are a tubular shape, which makes them perfect for using as a pillow when traveling. They are skinny enough to easily pack. And they are super soft and cuddly. We recently received two Fuzzys to check out for this review.

My daughter received Pink Penny, which is beyond perfect for my pink loving girl.

Any my son got Camo Carl. He's totally awesome!

These FuzzyHeads have been in our lives for just a few days and they are already a part of the family. My daughter has been so creative with her Pink Penny. She loves the soft, shaggy hair and pretends that Pink Penny is her helper at the beauty salon. Pink Pennies hair makes for the perfect pretend make-up applicator. My son has become very attached to Camo Carl and runs to grab him every time we get in the car. They are big hits with my two kids! And I love them because they are machine washable... yay!

I would definitely recommend you check out FuzzyHeads! I think they are great little pals for kids and I just love how transportable they are. In the car they are pillows, toys, and cuddly buddies. At home they are part of the family during movie time, putting on little shows, and playing beauty parlor. So head on over to the FuzzyHeads website to learn more and order your own FuzzyHead friend!

Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Multitasking Mom's Survival Guide

Chicken Soup for the Soul
The Multitasking Mom's Survival Guide

Moms are the busiest people in the world! They juggle kids, husbands, jobs, housework, and more. This collection will inspire and entertain masters of multitasking with its 101 stories from busy moms like them. Filled with words of wisdom, lessons learned, funny moments and juggling success, this book will brighten any mother's day.

My Thoughts:
Reading the short stories from this book was like reading about myself! We've all heard the saying "misery loves company," and parenting is truly the farthest thing from misery. In fact, being a mom is the biggest joy in my life. My kids are my everything and therefore I give them my all. But it can be HARD. Calling this book a survival guide is really quite appropriate, Just reading the stories from other moms reminds us that we're not in it alone. Moms all over the world are giving it there all and driving kids from activity to activity, shopping for their clothes and school supplies, paying for sports, and ending the day exhausted and sometimes feeling unappreciated.

Sitting down with this book can be a major pick-me-up. It reminds us why we are doing what we are doing. It's like sitting down with a friend and spilling about just how hard it is and helping each other come up with ideas to make it easier. Tricks, tips, and tales of understanding.

Being a multitasking mom isn't easy.. but it's worth it. Look for this book and other great titles from Chicken Soup for the Soul!
