My Thoughts:
When this movie hit the theaters back in October I really wanted to go and see it. But... life with small kids usually means little time for the movies. So I was left to anxiously await it's arrival on DVD. It arrived on my door step on a Tuesday and my husband right away said, "lets have family movie night on Friday!" Argh... more waiting. But I am happy to say it was worth all the waiting I had to do!

I love when there is a good movie that the whole family can sit down and enjoy together. My daughter is almost 6, so she's just starting to be interested in movies that aren't cartoons. So this was a great movie to try with her to see if she could stay interested. We all loved it. We were laughing out loud and smiling at each other as we watched this loving family juggle life.... and pretty much fail at everything except supporting each other.

Alexander and his family have a lot on their plates, just like many families. Dad is trying to get a job, mom is trying to be mom and a career woman, and the kids each have their own important agendas and activities that they want/need their parents for....birthdays, proms, plays! Oh, and then there's the baby... who turns green. Reason enough to watch the movie. I could not even contain my laughter when the oldest son took his driving test.

While they definitely go through a lot of.... misfortune..... on this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, they are always there for each other. They support and love each other 110% and it's such a heartwarming, fun movie to watch as a family. And with a cast like that... you can't go wrong! I would highly recommend it for your next movie night!
