Tumble Leaf - An Amazon Original Series

* I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Amazon Studios. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item to thank me for participating.

Amazon just keeps giving me more and more reasons to love them. I have been a happy Amazon shopper for years. Seriously, I buy everything from them from diapers and wipes to furniture and clothes. We do so much shopping on Amazon that we have been subscribers to Amazon Prime for two years now. And we love it. When my son was first born I managed to watch the entire series of 7th Heaven on Amazon Prime Instant Video. I love the wide selection of shows and movies for me and for my kids.

Now I have a new reason to love Amazon Prime Instant Video.... Tumble Leaf.

Synopsis:

Created by Drew Hodges and Bix Pix Entertainment, Tumble Leaf follows “Fig” the fox who lives in a wrecked schooner ship by the sea with his best friend “Stick,” a caterpillar who lives in a tiny basket strapped to Fig’s forearm, as they discover adventure, friendship and love around every bend.

Fig is a storyteller and an adventurer – an inquisitive, intelligent, and gentle creature who loves nature and the great outdoors. At the start of each day, Fig and Stick are eager to play -- to discover new things about his world, with his eyes, ears, mind and heart open to inspiration. By playing with an object that he finds in his “finding place” in each episode, he learns about science, critical thinking and the world around him.

I am fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom to two fabulous little ones. But being home with them all day can be a bit exhausting and mommy needs some down time. So we popped in a screener of the first 6 episodes of Tumble Leaf to see what this new Amazon Original Series was all about.

Each episode is short and sweet and filled with fun and adventure. Fig and Stick are lovable little buddies who find themselves in all kinds of predicaments. They are curious and adventurous and manage to learn tons of new things as they explore the world around them... all while having fun and making my daughter laugh.

I love the way these characters think. They take the ordinary and make it extraordinary! This show is truly going to inspire little minds to think outside the box and create their own solutions. I love how science is such an important theme throughout. These two really make science fun! My daughter has been looking at things in a much more scientific way ever since she was introduced to Fig and Stick!

You can check out the first episode for free on the Amazon Studios website. In order to watch the rest of the series you will have to become an Amazon Prime member. But as I said before, it has tons of benefits! You can learn more about Amazon Studios by clicking HERE.  There is also a free Android App that you can check out HERE.

I was truly blown away by this show. As an educator, this show is clearly meant to develop reasoning skills and foster creativity. I myself enjoy the episodes, and I have seen all of the episodes a few times now. I cant recommend them higher for ages 2-7.
