EO Review

I have seen EO products popping up on a lot of blogs and they definitely got my attention. Many people were giving their products rave reviews so I had to head over and check out their website.

While looking at their website my interest grew quickly. One thing that really caught my eye was their honesty. They provide their customers with tons of information about their products and about their company beliefs. When a company is this open and offers this much information I feel that I can trust them and their products. One of the most interesting sections that I found discussed why they don't label their products as organic even though they manufacture products that are certified organic as approved by the California Certified Organic Farmers. With how popular "organic" products are and how just using that word can sell some people, I love that they break it down for you and explain what organic truly means.

I am one of those people who loves natural products. I really never gave it a thought until I had my daughter, but now natural ingredients is something that I look for. I want to keep my daughter safe and healthy, but I also want to do the same for myself so that I can be around for all the wonderful events to come. So I had a lot of fun browsing through EO huge selection of products; everything from cleaning products to self care and perfume.

EO was generous enough to send me some of their products for review. First, before I even tried them I smelled each scent, the Meyer Lemon and the Lavender. They smell clean and refreshing. Love it. I then tried the all purpose soap, hand sanitizer and body wash. Each product was fabulous and felt great on your skin. Nothing felt oily or greasy. I love using the all purpose soap to clean my counters in the kitchen because I know it's safe and it leaves a nice clean scent. Take a look at their great selection of products!

The Pretty Peacock Review, Discount Code and Giveaway

As a mother I absolutely love personalized items that remind me of my daughter and symbolize how special she is to me. That's why I was so excited when I found The Pretty Peacock. The Pretty Peacock offers a fabulous variety of personalized jewelry that is perfect for mothers, grandmothers, dads and more. If you are looking for a very special and personal piece then you need to check out their selection.

The Pretty Peacock was generous enough to provide me with one of their pieces for review. I picked out the Portal Pendant that holds beautiful sparkling birthstones. I decided that I wanted to have a special piece for my family, so I put my husband's, daughter's and my own birthstones inside. This piece is absolutely gorgeous. I love that it looks like a regular necklace, but it means and represents so much more. I also love the fact that you can add more birthstones to it, so new family members won't be left out. I am in love with my necklace and wear it as often as I can.
The Pretty Peacock packages their items beautifully and with pride. Their pieces are high quality and unique. I highly recommend that you take a look at their selection. And they are so generous that they are offering all my readers a code - DRAMA - that will give you 15% off and free shipping on any order (code is one time use).

ROCKABYE Baby - Lullaby Renditions of Black Sabbath

Rockabye Baby offers the greatest selection of CD's for children. They take the music we are familiar with and love and turn it into relaxing and beautiful lullabies for your little one. They have a huge selection of CD's featuring lullaby renditions from The Beach Boys, Journey, Kanye West, Guns and Roses and much more.

I was fortunate enough to review Lullaby Renditions of Journey several months ago. I fell in love with the concept behind this music. I loved being able to listen to songs that I recognized and enjoyed while my little one snoozed. Sure beats listening to Hush Little Baby for the thousandth time.

Since doing that review I have purchased Lullaby Renditions of the Beach Boys and Lullaby Renditions of Cold Play. I have been so happy with each and every CD I have listened to. I also purchased Lullaby Renditions of Bob Marley for a good friend of mine. She has also reported back nothing but wonderful reviews of the CD.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share with the you the news of another CD joining the Rockabye Baby family, Lullaby Renditions of Black Sabbath. I know what many of you are thinking... Black Sabbath is not for kids. And normally I would absolutely agree with you. However, this is part of the magic of Rockabye Baby, they manage to make any song into a beautiful lullaby. The songs are so relaxing and peaceful, it's exactly what you would want your baby listening to.

I highly recommend you check out Rockabye Baby's fantastic selection. There is something for everyone and it will truly change your nap time.

Episencial Baby Skin Care - Sunny Sunscreen Review and Giveaway

Sun protection for my baby is one of my top priorities. Last summer she was too young to wear sunscreen so the poor kid never even saw the sun. I go to great lengths to protect her precious skin from the harmful rays of the sun. But while I am protecting her from the sun I don't want to load her skin up with a bunch of chemicals. Fortunately I have discovered Episencial Baby Skin Care - Sunny Sunscreen.

The all natural formula makes me feel confident when applying it to my baby's sensitive skin. I also love the way it goes on. It feels more like a cream than a sunscreen. It doesn't have a greasy feeling, but instead rubs on smoothly. It has also been named one of the top sunscreens for safety and effectiveness according to the Environmental Working Group's annual Sunscreen Guide. Another reason why I trust this brand.

You can purchase a Fun Summer Skincare Value set from diapers.com. This set includes Sunny Sunscreen, Soothing Cream and Protective Face Balm, plus an art project featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar all for $19.99 (a 30% savings). You can also find a $10 off coupon on Episencial's Facebook page.

GIVEAWAY: One Lucky Reader will win a Sunny Sunscreen from Episencial!

Monday Funday!

It has been so unbearably hot here the last week or so (in the hundreds... and then humidity, too... yuck). We have barely left the house. We lived all closed up with the AC on stretched out on the couch... watching summer pass us by.

Then last night something amazing happened. It cooled down! It cooled down so much that we shut off the air, opened the windows and even got out for a walk. It was amazing.

I woke up this morning and felt so good. The house smelled so fresh with all the windows open. And there was that crisp feeling from a cool morning pouring into the house. I stood on the porch with my coffee in hand and felt very awake. I haven't felt very awake since my daughter was born, or even before that with my huge pregnant self weighing me down.

It's going to be a gorgeous day. The hubby is off playing golf with his coworkers and I am taking the baby out to have ice cream for lunch. Yay for summer!

It feels like a great day to make some friends... so jump on the blog hops!

Baby Genius has a great selection of products for young children. They offer everything from toys to CD's and DVD's. They even offer a series of books featuring the adorable Baby Genius characters. All of the Baby Genius products have great educational value, and the company has won several awards within the last few years.

My daughter received a Baby Genius toy for Christmas. Up until that point I wasn't familiar with the company because this was my first child. I was thrilled with the quality of the product and was excited to see more of what the company had to offer.

I am pleased to tell you that Baby Genius has provided me with 2 products for review. I received the Musical Vacuum toy and the Under Water Adventure DVD. I am once again very pleased with the quality. I love that the Musical Vacuum play classical music. My daughter has figured out all the buttons and makes the lights flash and the music play. And she loves when she pushes it and it makes the vacuum sound! I hope she continues to like vacuuming so much.

The Underwater Adventure DVD also features classical music along with the wonderful characters from Baby Genius. I love how bright and colorful the images are, it keeps my daughters attention. It's wonderful that small children can be exposed to new animals in a fun and engaging way.

No Throw Review

If you are the parent of a baby or toddler then you must be all too familiar with the fact that children love to throw things. This is definitely true of my daughter, especially when she's in her high chair. Fortunately she doesn't throw her food too often, but she LOVES to throw her sippy cup. She even smiles when she hears the loud thud when it hits the floor.

The No Throw is a fantastic product! It straps around any bottle or sippy cup and can attach to any high chair, car seat, stroller, you name it. It allows your child to toss their cup without it hitting the floor. This is especially wonderful when you are at a restaurant and you don't know what is on the floor. It's a much more sanitary way of living and a much easier way of living.

My daughter hasn't figured out how to retrieve her own cup... yet. She is aware of it  hanging by the side of her high chair and she reaches for it. I'm sure retrieving it is just around the corner, which will eliminate one more thing that she needs me to do for her. I love the No Throw!

When purchasing a cup you get to pick from a variety of mixes that give the person receiving the mug a wonderful mix for a yummy dessert. TGIF!

Wow, life has been insane lately. I have kind of dropped the ball with keeping up with my usual blogging activities. But I am happy to have a nice quiet Friday so that I can get back on the blog hop wagon!

While I have been very busy, I am happy to report that it is because of 2 happy things. The first being that I am working hard with two of best bloggy buddies, Life with the Lebedas and Mommy's Free Time, to make this Fall Frenzy event the best it can possibly be! It's so exciting. We have so many amazing companies offering up really great prizes. It has exceeded my expectations and I think you will all love it! Don't forget to check out our event blog to see what's going on. And while you're there become a follower. :)

The second is that the hubby and I are starting to think about having baby number 2! My beautiful little girl will be 14 months old tomorrow, and I would like to have 2 relatively close together. But since we learned in our last pregnancy that we are both Cystic Fibrosis carriers we are taking our time. We are seeing several doctors to try and educate ourselves about the disease. Being told that any child we have will have a 1 in 4 chance of having the disease is very scary. Everyone's dream is to have a healthy child. So we are taking this in stride and trying to be as educated as we can. I am still thrilled that we are taking steps towards our next little bundle of joy!

So now... on to the Friday blog hops! Time to meet some new friends and find some fabulous blogs.

Fabbys Review

How many of you have ever thrown a pair of flip flops in the car when you go to a wedding? Or brought a change of shoes to work with you just in case you couldn't make it through the day in your heels? I know I am guilty of both of these things. I love my heels and wear them whenever I can. However, I have noticed that my feet are just not the same as they used to be. They start to hurt faster and I am often looking to take my heels off and give my feet a rest.

If you can relate to any of this then you will love to learn about Fabbys. Fabbys are ballet flats that roll up so small that they can fit into a clutch. How perfect is this for the next wedding you attend? Or the next time you want to try your new heels at work without having to worry if you can't make it the whole day? The best part about Fabbys, besides the fact that they roll up so small, is that they look great. They are super cute and way better than ruining a dress with a pair of flip flops.

Fabbys are offered in three colors (Shameless Silver, Glamazon Gold and Be Jealous Black). A color for any outfit or occasion. These are a fabulous invention and I highly recommend you check them out!

Kuki Kids Review, Discount Code and Giveaway!

As you know, I love unique and fun clothing for my little girl. Kuki Kids provides you with exactly that. They make funky and fun clothes for boys and girls in bright prints. They offer everything from dresses and pants to bodysuits and pajamas. And all of these items come at prices you can afford.

Kuki Kids was generous enough to send me their Da-Da dress for review. I absolutely love the funky shapes and bright colors. The print is fun, which allows you to use it as a casual play dress or it could be used for dressier look. I love the flexibility you have with the design.

The material used is clearly high quality. The fabric feels a little heavier so you know it won't fall apart in the washing machine. It is easy to care for with the simple instructions to cold wash separately. The stitching is perfect. I mean it really is a high quality product!

A few weeks ago I shared with you an amazing campaign going on over at Pillow Pets. They are offering a special limited edition Patriotic Pup that will help raise funds for scholarships for military children. Check out my previous post for more information.

I was fortunate enough to receive one of these furry friends for review. I love the concept of pillow pets because they are multifunctional. They are stuffed friends who quickly and easily turn into a comfy pillow with the simple release of some Velcro. My daughter absolutely loves her Pillow Pet. She snuggles up with it and jumps on it. I am happy to have this type of stuffed animal in my home because I know it will be of use when traveling or going to sleepovers.

Good Nite Lite Review

Creating a good sleep pattern with young children is hard. And sometimes just when you think you're in a groove they send you for a loop. If anyone can tell me the secret to getting your child to sleep through the night every night I will be eternally grateful.

But since I don't think anyone has that secret I have something that may be of great interest to all the other parents who may struggle with a sleep schedule. I stumbled across a product called the Good Nite Lite. The Good Nite Lite is a patent pending, behavioral modification device designed to promote a child's ability to get the rest that is critical for healthy development.

Basically what this product does is provide a visual cue to your child. You set the timer for the length of time your child should sleep. During this time a dim moon is illuminated to signal to your child that it's night time. Then in the morning it  becomes a brighter sun.  This is a concept that even very young children can be taught.

Good Nite Lite was kind enough to send me one of their products for review. I have found it to be easy to use and it illuminates very nicely. I like how it's not bright at night like a typical night light. I think this is an excellent cuing system for children.

MindsInSync: Aquatopia - Review

Bath time is one of my favorite times. My daughter loves the water and loves to splash around and have fun. She always squeals with delight! So making bath time a safe and enjoyable experience for both of us was really important. I began researching some products that I felt would make things a little easier. One of the companies that continued to catch my eye was MindsInSync, which makes the Aquatopia product line.

MindsInSync was awesome enough to send me several of their products for review. I received the Easy Kneeler, digital Thermometer and a Micro Dry bath mat.
I am absolutely thrilled with all three of these products! The digital thermometer is cute and fun while being completely practical and useful. It clearly displays the temperature and sounds a beeping alarm when the water is either too cold or too hot. My daughter loves to play with it, and I love knowing that the water is the appropriate temperature.

The Easy Kneeler has made a world of difference. When my daughter is in the tub I don't leave the side. I am on my knees from the beginning to the end, and since she loves to splash this could be awhile! The Easy Kneeler is very nicely padded on the knee area and has pockets to allow for easy access to anything you may need. This is convenient and comfy.

The Micro Dry bath mat is incredibly soft! I walked on it when it first arrived and it felt great under my toes. We are currently using this as a changing area after bath time. It's a soft, padded surface that quickly absorbs the water so she's not laying on anything wet. This has really been ideal, rather than using her diaper changing table which would remain damp for awhile.

I highly recommend these high quality products. You can find them at Babies R Us, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, BabyDepot.com and Buy Buy Baby.

Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway!

I really feel like that is all the advertising Piggy Paint has to do. Their logo pretty much says it all and has me sold. Did anyone else stop painting their nails while they were pregnant? I may be a little on the overcautious side, but I didn't paint my nails until the week of my baby shower. I was terrified of the chemicals and fumes. So they idea that I could continue to protect her from those things while still painting her nails is exciting.

I want my child to be exposed to the most natural and safe products that I can find. BUT.... I am a huge fan of having my nails done and love the way they look. I definitely want my little girl to have that experience and see the pretty colors on her nails. That's why I am so glad there is Piggy Paint and I can paint my daughter's nails with confidence!

Piggy Paint was generous enough to send me a beautiful nail polish color (Girls Rule) and a bottle of nail polish remover. The nail polish is great! It goes on smooth and looks dark after only two coats. It also holds up really well! I put some on my own nails to see how long it lasted. I am very rough with my hands and I managed to go several days without chipping. It's a great product that's safe.. love it!

Check out Piggy Paint's website for complete details and to check out their awesome selection of colors! You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with products and sales!

Piggy Paint is offering a 10% off coupon for my readers! Use coupon code DRAMA10L on anything... even sale items!

Tommee Tippee Review

As a mom of a toddler who is exploring food and becoming a much more self sufficient self feeder, finding the right products to help them is tough. I can't even tell you the number of sippy cups, spoons, forks, plates and bowls that we have tried in the hunt to find the perfect one. I think I have pretty much come to the conclusion that there is no perfect feeding equipment when it comes to toddlers. They are going to be messy and aside from super gluing their plate to the table... things will fly.

With that said, I was incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to review some really fabulous products. Tommee Tippee and Mom Bloggers Club were generous enough to send me several items from Tommee Tippee's product line.
These items included a spill proof water bottle, nonslip easy mat and weaning bowl with spoon. I have been really pleased with these products. My daughter is a little young for the water bottle and has some trouble tipping it back far enough. But, she has thrown it and dropped it and it is definitely spill proof and sturdy. I am looking forward to using it in the future.

The nonslip mat and the weaning bowl are now my go to place setting. The nonslip mat sits nicely on her high chair tray and is thin enough that she can't easily pull it up. The bowl becomes suctioned to the center of the mat. I am really impressed with how the bowl and mat are designed because it really holds a suction. I have tried other suction bowls that attach directly to the tray or table and they don't last long. This seems to have a much better hold!

Tommee Tippee products are available at Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us store, as well as online at BabiesRUs.com. And if you shop for Tommee Tippee Explora products now thru July 23rd you can buy one item and get a second item for 50% off!

Wupzey Review and Giveaway!

Like many of the most useful items in the baby world, Wupzey was developed by a mom. A mom who, like many of us, was all too familiar with the mess made while a young child is learning to self feed. My daughter is 14 months old and for every piece of food she gets to her mouth she drops or another. It was getting to the point where there was serious talk of getting a dog.

Rather than getting a dog, we were fortunate enough to review a Wupzey food catcher. This easy to install food catcher simply attaches to your high chair with Velcro. This makes it very easy to put on and take off before and after every meal. The material is light weight and machine washable, while still being strong enough to catch forks, spoons and even sippy cups!

With the use of the Wupzey food catcher we have far less sweeping to do at the end of the meal. All we have to do is remove it, shake it in the sink and wipe it clean. And when we have a really messy... or sticky... meal, we toss it in the washing machine. Easy and convenient!

Crafty Momma!

The other day I was reading a fellow Mommy Bloggers blog, Life with the Lebedas, and she had posted some great ideas for "do-it-yourself" projects. I have been really inspired lately to start making more things. It's a great way to save money and make things a little more special.

One of the reasons I have been so inspired is because of the amazing talent I see on Etsy. I have come across some of the cutest, most unique items. But I need to face reality and understand that my talents are pretty limited. We won't even get into the "time" issue, but my skills in general for craftiness are not great. My mom was awesome with sewing. She made all our Halloween costumes and clothes for our dolls. I can't even sew a button on. The other day my daughter ripped a corner of one of the Wonder Pets capes off and I had to drive to my moms house to have her sew the little corner down. Fail.

But one thing I can do is use a glue gun... but not too neatly. So I took on the challenge to try making some hair accessories for my almost bald daughter. I'm full of bright ideas. I don't think it was a total failure. Some of them actually look pretty decent from the front. You don't want to look at the gluey mess on the back.
Well, you can't have a bazillion bows without a bow holder, right?
Hand painted with love! Not too shabby, huh? Well if only I wasn't doing these projects at 11:00 at night. What has this taught me? I can do it. I can make cute things for my daughter if I put the time and thought into it. It takes a lot of time. I will sacrifice sleep.

To make the bow holder I just went to Michael's and picked up one of their wood plaques. I painted it with acrylic paint in the design I desired. Then I chose two different types of ribbon and fray sealed (you can buy this stuff in a bottle at Michael's in the ribbon section) the ends. Then I hot glued them to the back of the plaque. This holds about 30-40 bows depending on the size. And the whole project only cost me about 10 dollars.

I did have a lot of fun doing these little projects and I will certainly do more. But I have a huge respect for the WAHM's who do this to perfection. My bows don't measure up to the ones I have purchased, but I really didn't expect them too. But it sure was fun making something special!

Baby Wit Review and Giveaway

Baby Wit offers some really cool baby clothes! Their designs for t-shirts, onesies, dresses and more are so unique and trendy. They manufacture all of their branded products in Portland, Oregon. They also carry some products from some very cool other brands!

Baby Wit was cool enough to send me one of their designs for review. I received an awesome t-shirt for my little girl. This t-shirt is a good panda/bad panda design and it was printed on pink t-shirt. The t-shirt is very soft and held up well in the wash. The design didn't fade and looks like new. Definitely a high quality product.

I think the shirt is funky and adorable. I love the design and feel that it fits my daughter perfectly. She has her moments of good and bad... but she's always adorable, just like the panda!

So if you are looking for some trendy and unique items at a fair price then you should check out Baby Wit! And while you're there you can check out their selection for mom and dad, too!
