Classic Books for Brilliant Babies

Have you heard of the popular Baby Lit series? It began with the inspirations of Pride and Prejudice and Romeo and Juliet and turning them into board books for babies. Now of course they are not taking the language or even the story, but simply using artwork and elements to introduce children to classics while still gearing the books towards the intended age group of newborn to 3 years old.

Now they have released two new titles, Jane Eyre: A Baby Lit Primer, and Alice in Wonderland: A Baby Lit Colors Primer. I was very excited to get to check out these books in person and share them with my daughter.

Jane Eyre focuses on teaching children to count. Throughout the board book you experience beautiful pictures that go along with the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte. It's a great way to introduce your children to a world of classic literature while still remaining true to their level of understanding and interest.

Alice in Wonderland takes your child into an exploration of colors with illustrations reflecting Lewis Carroll's classic story. This books is filled with bright and vivid illustrations that had my daughter's full attention.

I think these books are brilliant. They are fun and educational at an appropriate level while still introducing children to classic literature. The illustrations are just beautiful! I would highly recommend you check these books out.
