Money Savvy Generations has one main goal: Helping Kids Get Smart About Money! The founder and CEO of Money Savvy Generations, Susan Beachman, has seen first hand the challenges many adults face when trying to understand concepts related to personal financing. Susan worked as a personal banker and her experiences inspired her to try and make a difference in young lives that would impact them throughout their lives.
Money Savvy Generations offers products and information to help get kids off to the right start. Finances can be a complex topic, but with these products you can start with simple and fun concepts and build from there.
I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to review the Money Savvy Pig. What is unique about this piggy bank is that it is actually broken into 4 chambers. One slot sends your coins to the "save" chamber, one slot goes to the "spend" chamber, the next slot goes to the "donate" chamber and the last slot goes to the "invest" chamber.
This makes it easy and fun to start teaching your young ones about the value of money and the importance of saving, spending, donating and investing. Most kids focus on the spending aspect. This allows for spending to still be an option, but it also emphasizes the importance of other financial decisions.
I think this piggy bank is a great invention! So simple with so many benefits.
